PsychOS assessment guide
Cognitive Empathy Assessment
This assessment explores how you understand another person's perspective, motives, and emotional state. It separates recognizing what someone may feel from automatically sharing that feeling.
Who this reflection may be useful for
Useful if you want to examine how accurately and deliberately you read social situations, especially when emotions are complex or indirect.
What it examines
- perspective-taking
- social and emotional inference
- recognition versus emotional resonance
How to read the result
A strong score can indicate frequent use of perspective-taking, but it does not prove that every inference is accurate. A lower score can reflect context, attention, uncertainty, or a preference for explicit communication.
How to use the reflection
Use the result to test your interpretations against direct evidence. Ask what you know, what you inferred, and what you could clarify instead of treating an impression as fact.
Limits of the assessment
PsychOS assessments are structured self-reflection tools, not diagnostic instruments. They do not establish a mental-health condition, prove another person's motives, predict future behavior, or replace professional evaluation when one is needed.
